Your report is a serious undertaking and may have implications for the persons concerned.
The proposed categories of alert are based on definitions that are intended to be illustrative and non-exhaustive. They do not replace a legal definition proposed by the competent authorities or reference texts. The descriptions provided should not constitute an obstacle to reporting.
For your information, the admissibility of the alert will be assessed on the basis of the following points:
- does the alert describe a harmful situation?
- Is the situation described sufficiently serious?
- Does the report include any documentation (photo, document, video, etc.)?
- Is the report made in good faith?
- Does the report benefit from direct financial compensation?
- Do the facts reported concern items covered by national defence confidentiality, medical confidentiality or lawyer-client confidentiality?
